Respectful relationships and proper process.

Toclla Consulting is a Mining and Environment consultancy benefiting from over 20 years of experience in environmental assessment and permitting processes, servicing clients in Latin America and Canada. Toclla embraces challenging assignments, working collaboratively with proponents and interested and affected parties to navigate the complexity between engineering, environmental and public participation demands, and in turn add value to mining projects in their development phase. At Toclla Consulting, following proper process is considered as important as the resulting outcomes, and establishing respectful and inclusive relationships between proponents, communities and government agencies is seen as central to achieving this.

Red Chris

The Red Chris Mine is located in the territory of the Tahltan Nation and started surface mining and ore processing operations in 2014. NRCML is planning on extending the Life of Mine by transitioning from open pit to block cave mining in order to access underground resources.

Las Bambas

Toclla has worked collaboratively with Wood plc in Peru on the development of the Fourth Modification of the Las Bambas Environmental Impact Assessment (4th MEIA). Las Bambas is owned by MMG and is currently one of the largest copper mines in Peru. The 4th MEIA would allow Las Bambas to update its mine plan in order to extend its operational life. The work has involved collaboration with the engineering and environmental teams in Peru. SENACE is the government agency responsible for the 4th MEIA process.
